power of knowledge

Today, we will discuss something we all know about its importance but seldom consider the depth of it. We will discuss the power of knowledge. If we adhere to the wise words of Takeda Shingen, “Knowledge is not power; it is only potential. Applying that knowledge is power. Understanding why and when to apply that knowledge is wisdom.” Knowledge is like a sword; only having a sword will not make much difference. Knowing when and how to wield it is the true power.

Power of Knowledge

power of knowledge

Knowledge is the most extensive component in the world. It can make or break your life. Moreover, knowledge is what distinguishes humans from animals. With knowledge, one can apply their skills and make their lives better. When you know your inventory, you can accomplish a lot in your life.

1. Knowledge is a Treasure

Every educated person may not be intelligent; what is true is that every qualified person has an education. It may seem like an odd statement, but it is true. When you have the treasure of knowledge, you can drive a car or even fly an airplane. Therefore, it allows you to do little as well as significant work.

When you know, you can stop yourself from falling into the same deception. Also, you cannot buy knowledge. In this article, it is vital to note that knowledge is power. You gain it, and you earn it with your hard work. Therefore, the real gem is the knowledge that will make you a successful person in life and help you achieve power and respect.

2. It cannot be Robbed or Snatched

Unlike earthly belongings, no one can rob or snatch the gift of knowledge from you. The knowledge you have gained along the way belongs to you only. Money and jewelry can be looted from you, but not the knowledge. You may decide to share the knowledge with people, but that sharing will not decrease the amount of knowledge; you will be richer by doing so.

3. Knowledge Leads to Wisdom

The power of knowledge leads to wisdom. Let us make it clear that knowledge & wisdom are not the same. As an old saying goes,” Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is not putting it into the fruit salad.”

Wisdom is how we apply the acquired knowledge in practical life for the benefit of us & others. Without having a sense of application, knowledge falls flat. Wisdom is knowledge of knowing what is right, what is apt & how to apply it.

4. Knowledge Makes People Humble

A scholar & noted physicist, astronomer Sir Isaac Newton said, ” I do not know what I may appear to the world, but myself, I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, while the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”

That is the degree of humbleness of one of the brilliant minds of the contemporary world. The more you know, the more you realize how much is left to learn. That feeling brings humbleness to you.

It is a fact that people with shallow or no knowledge are often loudest, as an empty vessel sounds much. Unlike them, an actual knowledgeable person never beats their drums. He is satisfied with the amount of knowledge he possesses, yet he always looks for more.

5. It Inspires Us To Be Better

Knowledge inspires us to be a better version of ourselves. It allows us to have a look into ourselves & motivates us to upgrade, not only for our benefit but for the greater good. It inspires us to do something for the world and humanity. It is a proven fact that most philanthropists are highly educated people.

The power of knowledge motivates them & pushes them to involve themselves in a more significant cause. With the application of knowledge, they try to make a difference, reach out to distressed & downtrodden people, and continuously try to make the world a better place.

6. It Sets us Free

Knowledge provides us the ability to live on and flourish in the world. This is freedom, and you can’t have absolute power without liberty. More knowledge enables us to make better decisions and decide the rational and moral grounds on which we will make the decisions.

Knowledge and wisdom help us to make improved choices. We respect ourselves more when we make better choices, and when we respect ourselves more, we continue to make better choices. When it’s clear that we respect ourselves, others come to respect us more, which is also vastly influential.

7. Knowledge is Renewable

Knowledge doesn’t come with an expiry date, and you can use it repeatedly. As long as you remember how to do a specific job, you can do it no matter what. You can gain the same positive result no matter how often you must repeat the process.

Why knowledge is important for success?

Every aspect of knowledge is essential. Anything can be asked in an examination, an interview & whenever life is testing you. So, knowledge is necessary for success. We all have faced interviews at some point in time. Interviewers and HRs test your knowledge like anything. It is essential to have some ability to answer those questions.

Jobs, the professional world, & education, everything has a lot to offer for your future. Before even knowing many things, we instinctively do many things in our life, but once we are aware of what we are doing, we know we are heading in the right direction; that is a success! So, what can you do to increase your knowledge?

Read many things: Books, Novels, Newspapers, Newsletters, Magazines, & any piece of knowledge. Try watching videos. Videos can make your way of style of presentation better. Many videos have detailed analyses of hot topics of international, national, & state matters.

So, we suggest you go through anything, be it resourceful, full of knowledge, and gain and use it. Spread knowledge as well. We hope that motivates you to study & be more attentive to your surroundings. With some sound knowledge & wisdom, you will be able to make good decisions; we don’t need to remind you how important it is to achieve success.

Conclusion

Suppose you are trying to get some knowledge about something to get the power of knowledge. In that case, we suggest you contact the wholesome expertise or don’t try. As we all know, a little bit of knowledge is dangerous. The result of half-knowledge can be devastating. One must acquire full working knowledge about something to have power. By gaining knowledge, you can make your life & the lives of others better.
